Axarqia area - General.
The Axarquia is a beautiful province (eastern Costa del Sol) with towering mountains and a selection of safe sandy beaches along the coast. Just a mile from the coast Torrox can be found in the foothils of the Sierras still conserving its  traditional and relaxed way of life. Torrox Pueblo.
Torrox   is a  village  full of  character with attractive squares,  public  open - air  swimming  pool,  small shops and of course tapas bars. Five mins drive  away at the coast is  the modern  beach  resort of Torrox and El Morche and the old town of Nerja.  Torrox Costa has a pleasant promenade and is lined with restaurants tapas bars shops etc..a combination of traditional and modern which makes Torrox an interesting place to stay.   For those  with  culture  in mind  there are roman ruins all along the coast, some astonishing caves at  Nerja and of course the Alhambra Arab Palace at Granada.  The warm climate here at  Torrox  and the  abundant  local fiestas  make this a year round  holiday destination  and you will find that  whatever time you  choose  to visit  Torrox is a friendly and interesting place to holiday..

Activities
During your holiday you might be tempted to go horse riding,  walking in the sierras, wine tasting or even snow skiing between the months of December and -April. There is plenty of Night life for all ages and tastes with a large number of nightclubs, discos and bars at Torrox Costa, Nerja and Torre del Mar on the coast. Day trips can easily be booked to visit Cordoba,  Seville, Malaga Marbella, Gibraltar etc.

The Accommodation.
Accommodation  is suitable  for large or small groups and  comprises  of the main house sleeping 4, with lounge,  kitchen, bathroom, double and twin bedrooms, and for larger parties an annex is available with two twin bedrooms and bathroom. The Villa has an 8 by 4 meter swimming pool,   large sun terraces with barbecue and a pretty garden. Airy in Summer, it is kept snug in winter with a wood-burning stove. Casa Morente is part of a  farm run by English owners, who have extensive local knowledge and are always available for help or advice.  To get the most from this vacation car rental is recommended  and we can arrange this for you with the car being picked up from either Malaga or Almeria Airports.
