One of the many religious processions and fiestas that are
celebrated each
year in Torrox. This one, an Easter parade is a beautiful celebration
of the
patron saint of the pueblo La Virgin de Las Nieves, and like most
of the
village parades passes close to our village house in the old pueblo.
Torrox
celebrates many fiestas and romerias each year the most famous of
which
is the festival of the Mijas held the last Sunday before Christmas
and has
been designated a Cultural event of regional importance by the Junta
de
Andalucia.
